Confirmed not to accept Indian traders

Only firms whose verified availability record names India as restricted. A firm that is missing here is not confirmed as a no.

Regulation

Rules that apply in India

Searches for “prop firm” in India were 12,100 a month in June 2026, the largest country total in PropFirmApp’s breakdown (propfirmapp.com/statistics (opens in new tab)).

SEBI’s November 2024 advisory calls virtual and paper-trading platforms based on listed-stock prices unauthorised, and says participation is at the participant’s own risk. The advisory does not name prop firms (SEBI press release (opens in new tab); Finance Magnates summary (opens in new tab)).

The Reserve Bank of India publishes an Alert List of unauthorised forex trading platforms. A November 2025 report in The Hindu described an update to that list (The Hindu (opens in new tab)). This page does not mark individual firms against that list. Under the RBI foreign-exchange framework, residents are generally expected to deal in forex through authorised entities, and sending margin abroad is restricted. Where an overseas simulated challenge sits is a gray area.

This is not legal, tax, or investment advice. Confirm the firm's current country rules and your own obligations before you pay a fee.

Payments

Paying for a challenge and getting paid

Guides written for Indian traders discuss paying a challenge fee by card and taking payouts through Rise into an INR bank account, crypto, or Wise. Our firm records do not include a payout-method field, so this page does not assign a rail to any firm. Confirm the method on the firm’s own site.

Firm-reported payout totals, which are self-reported and unaudited, have put India first at forex firms. FundingPips reported $3,111,561 of September 2026 rewards to India (joinprop.com (opens in new tab)). Goat Funded Trader’s cumulative country table shows India at $4.54 million (forexpropreviews.com (opens in new tab)). Those figures are not our measurements and do not decide who is listed here.

Markets

Forex and futures

Public traffic and payout reports for India are led by forex and CFD firms. In a September 2026 reading of Semrush’s public top-five countries, futures firms’ published India visits summed to about 0.78 million, against about 8.74 million for the United States. That is a sum of each firm’s published top five, not a full-country total (overview pages follow semrush.com/website/ftmo.com/overview (opens in new tab)). A futures firm is listed as not accepting Indian traders only when our own verified record says so.

How a firm qualifies

A firm is listed as accepting India only when it is active, it sells a retail evaluation, instant-funding, or first-loss program, and a verified availability record covers the country: worldwide availability that does not name India, or a country list that does. Verified means the record has a verification time and at least one source link. A country missing from an unverified list is not acceptance. Firms we have not verified are counted above and left off both lists. That count is not a rejection. A firm is named as not accepting Indian traders only when the restriction itself is verified. Order is trader rating, the same order as the rest of ProprietaryTrading.com. Affiliate links, discounts, and featured placement do not change who is listed or the order. Profit split and the cheapest entry fee come from verified program tiers when we have them. We do not drop a verified record because of its age. The date is on the row, in Eastern Time. We do not store a payout-method field, so payout rails are described for the country and not assigned to a firm.

Questions

Common questions

Which prop firms accept traders from India?

39 active retail prop firms have a verified availability record that includes India. They are the firms in the list on this page, ordered by trader rating. 52 active retail firms remain unconfirmed and are not listed. That is not a rejection.

Can I use a VPN to join a firm that restricts India?

No. A VPN used to appear to live in a country the firm accepts breaks that firm’s own rules. FundedNext’s help center says an account opened that way can be terminated and rewards voided (FundedNext restricted-countries article (opens in new tab)).
