Best Prop Firms for Traders in the United States

How the United States collections fit together: U.S. only, U.S. and global, and global without the U.S, profiled by proprietarytrading.com.

Short answer

162 firms are confirmed to accept U.S. traders, using the same U.S. eligibility field as the directory. No confirmed firm limits itself to U.S. traders only. 162 are confirmed without that limit. A missing worldwide label is not called global. 6 are global and do not accept U.S. traders. 34 firms are not confirmed yet. Not confirmed is not a no.

U.S. availability collections

These lists use the same U.S. eligibility field as the directory. Every confirmed yes is in United States only or United States + global. The availability label only separates firms that say United States only. A missing worldwide label is not called global, and it is not a no. A collection with no firms is not linked here. It returns once it has at least one firm.

34 firms haven't confirmed U.S. availability yet. Not confirmed is not a no.

Best prop firms for US traders is the ranked list. It uses the U.S. eligibility field and trader rating. 1 firm has at least one excluded U.S. state on record. Those lists stay on the firm profile.

Regulation

Rules that apply in the United States

Searches for “prop firm” in the United States were 8,100 a month in June 2026 (propfirmapp.com/statistics (opens in new tab)). The same source reported futures queries ahead of forex queries globally that month, about 25,100 versus 10,010, with “futures prop firms” at 18,100.

U.S. traffic in a September 2026 Semrush top-five sample was led by futures firms: about 8.74 million published U.S. visits across those futures firms, against about 2.23 million across the forex and CFD firms in the same sample (Semrush overview pattern (opens in new tab)). Those are sums of each firm’s public top five, not a complete country total.

Payments

Paying for a challenge and getting paid

Payout rails vary by firm and are not a field in our firm records, so this hub does not assign one. The ranked U.S. list and each firm profile are the places to compare the terms we do store.

Markets

Forex and futures

Start with futures if you live in the United States. Many forex and CFD challenge firms do not offer that product to U.S. residents. Confirmed U.S. acceptance uses the same eligibility field as the directory. The availability label only separates firms that say United States only from the rest. A firm is in “Global without United States” only when both facts are confirmed: worldwide availability, and U.S. traders are a no. Unclear U.S. eligibility is in none of the three lists. Not confirmed is not a no.

How a firm qualifies

United States only needs confirmed U.S. acceptance and an availability label that says the firm serves the United States only. United States + global is every other confirmed U.S. acceptance. A global label is not required, and a missing worldwide label is not called global. Global without United States needs a confirmed no for U.S. traders and worldwide availability. Unclear eligibility is in none of those lists. Not confirmed is not a no. A collection with no firms is not linked and is not indexed. It is linked again once it has at least one firm. The separate ranked U.S. page uses the U.S. eligibility field. Trader rating orders that page. Affiliate links do not.
