FundingPips Drops Three Trading Rules on New Accounts, With Catches on Splits and Overnight Holds

FundingPips has removed Risk Per Trade Idea, the Striking System and Profit Concentration for new 1 Step Flex, 2 Step Standard, 2 Step Flex and 2 Step Pro accounts. But the 100% split still uses strikes, two Bi-Weekly splits fell to 80%, and Master trades now close daily without the 10% Swing add-on.
## What happened
**FundingPips** has rewritten the rulebook for new accounts on its four main CFD models: **1 Step Flex, 2 Step Standard, 2 Step Flex and 2 Step Pro**. The firm moved the old rules to a [FundingPips Legacy Rules](https://help.fundingpips.com/hc/en-us/articles/51307058233361-FundingPips-Legacy-Rules) page that covers "all purchases made before the 28th of September 2026", and updated each model's help-center page on **5 October 2026**. FundingPips' announcement, reposted on [Prop Firm Match](https://propfirmmatch.com/prop-firm-announcements), lists three rules as removed: **Risk Per Trade Idea**, the **Striking System**, and **Profit Concentration**.
## The three rules that are gone
* **Risk Per Trade Idea.** Under legacy rules on several Master Accounts, a single trade idea losing 2% to 3% of the account (depending on size) was a hard breach. It no longer appears on the new model pages. * **Striking System.** On most legacy Master Accounts, this warning system flagged any trade idea whose closed plus floating loss reached 1% to 1.2% of the account. A second warning halved the split, and a fourth closed the account. It is no longer a default rule on the new model pages. * **Profit Concentration Policy.** If one trade idea made more than 60% of an evaluation target, the Master Account needed 4 profitable days before every reward. That policy is no longer on the new pages.
The new pages list only three hard breaches on each model: the **max loss limit**, the **daily loss limit**, and **30 days of inactivity**.
## What changed model by model
| Model | New accounts (from 28 Sep 2026) | Legacy accounts |
|---|---|---|
| 1 Step Flex | Daily loss 2% or 3%, chosen at purchase. Bi-Weekly split 80% | Daily loss 3%. Bi-Weekly split 85% |
| 2 Step Standard | Daily loss 3% or 5%. No minimum trading days with the 3% option, otherwise 3 per phase | Daily loss 5%, 3 minimum days per phase |
| 2 Step Flex | Phase 2 target 8%. Bi-Weekly split 80% or 95% | Phase 2 target 6%. Bi-Weekly split 85% or 95% |
| 2 Step Pro | Zero minimum trading days per phase | 2 minimum days per phase |
Profit targets, max loss limits and account sizes are otherwise unchanged. FundingPips also says new accounts can earn **up to a 100% split** on all four models through the **Monthly** reward cycle. That cycle first appeared on accounts bought from 15 August 2026.
## The catches
**The 100% split still carries the Striking System.** On every model page, the Monthly 100% cycle needs a **35% consistency score** and **7 profitable days** of at least 0.5% each. Each page also ties that cycle to the Striking System at a **1% warning trigger**. Traders chasing the full split are still under the floating-loss warnings that the headline says were removed.
**Master trades now close every day unless you buy the Swing add-on.** The firm calls the new Swing option a way for swing traders to hold positions overnight and over weekends. The flip side is in the help center. On new Master Accounts, open positions are **closed by the system each day** in a 15-minute window, **20:45 to 21:00 UTC** in summer time and 21:45 to 22:00 UTC in winter time. The only exception is the **Swing add-on**, which FundingPips' [News Trading & Weekend Holding](https://help.fundingpips.com/hc/en-us/articles/34504137479441-News-Trading-Weekend-Holding) page prices at **10%** at purchase. Swing accounts also pay **$10 per lot** commission on forex and metals, against $5 on standard accounts. The legacy pages restricted weekend holds on Master Accounts but did not describe a daily close. A forced close is not a breach, but that day does not count as a valid trading day.
**Default splits went down on two models.** The Bi-Weekly split on 1 Step Flex and the lower 2 Step Flex option dropped from **85% to 80%**.
## Prime changes too
FundingPips' top tier, **Prime**, now uses a **static 8% max loss** instead of a trailing one, and a **3% soft daily loss** limit (it was 2%). It is now **invite-only**. Under the [Prime Legacy](https://help.fundingpips.com/hc/en-us/articles/51592185634449-Prime-Legacy) rules, traders could also unlock Prime themselves after their third reward with at least 2% profit. The account is still sized with a **×12.5** multiplier on the profit after the reward split, and pays an 80% daily reward split.
## Who it applies to
The new rules cover **new purchases and resets after 28 September 2026**. Existing accounts keep the rules they were bought under. FundingPips' instant-funding **Zero** model is not part of the update. The new pages still contain some leftover legacy wording. For example, one line on the 2 Step Pro page still mentions a 2-day minimum for resets. So check the rules shown at checkout and on your dashboard before you buy.
## What this article is not claiming
* We are **not** asserting partner or affiliate status, or offering any promo code. * We are **not** quoting new FundingPips prices or the exact cost of the 3% daily-loss option, because the help center did not list them when we checked on **7 October 2026**. * We are **not** saying whether passing is easier overall. Some models got looser and others got tighter.
## FAQ
**Q: Does my existing FundingPips account get the new rules?** A: No. Accounts bought before 28 September 2026 stay on the legacy rules. A reset after that date moves to the new rules.
**Q: Is the Striking System completely gone?** A: Not completely. It is no longer a default rule on the four models, but the Monthly 100% reward cycle still applies it with a 1% warning trigger.
**Q: Can I hold trades overnight on a new Master Account?** A: Only with the Swing add-on bought at checkout, priced at 10%. Without it, open positions are closed every day before the daily rollover window ends.
**Q: Did FundingPips change its Zero accounts?** A: No. The update covers 1 Step Flex, 2 Step Standard, 2 Step Flex and 2 Step Pro, plus changes to Prime.
