Reset

Rules

Reset is the option to restart an evaluation after breaching a rule, sometimes free and sometimes for a discounted fee.

Reset is the option to restart an evaluation after a rule breach. Pricing varies: some firms offer one free reset on each purchase, others charge 50–80% of the original fee. Resets generally restore starting balance and the original ruleset; the trader''s prior progress is not preserved.

A reset is most useful when the breach was caused by a single oversize loss rather than a systemic issue with the trader''s strategy. Resetting repeatedly is usually a sign that the evaluation parameters are mis-matched to the trader''s edge.
