FundedNext Futures' new Direct account skips the challenge: $50K, a $2,000 end-of-day trailing drawdown and a 90% split for $169.99 with the FNDIRECT code. The catches: a $2,100 buffer before any withdrawal, a 20% consistency rule that never turns off, a $1,200 cap per cycle and only five rewards.

What happened

FundedNext Futures has added Direct, a $50,000 instant account, to its futures menu next to Flex, Rapid Daily and Rapid Pro. There is no challenge to pass and no profit target. You sign the agreement at purchase and start trading on a FundedNext Account right away; KYC is only required before your first withdrawal.

FundedNext's Direct product page and its Direct Account: All Rules help article, dated 7 October 2026, set out the terms below. We checked both on 11 October.

The catches

"No profit goal" still means a $2,900 first hurdle. To request a withdrawal you have to clear the $2,100 buffer, and the buffer stays in the account. Only profit above it can be withdrawn, with an $800 minimum. So the first request needs at least $2,900 of profit, and a full $1,200 request needs $3,300. The buffer also lines up with the drawdown: at a $52,100 balance the end-of-day trailing floor reaches $50,100, where it locks. In practice, the buffer is the point where the account stops trailing.

The consistency rule never switches off. FundedNext tracks your all-time best day, and in every cycle that best day must be no more than 20% of the cycle's profit. Put another way, each cycle has to earn at least five times your best day ever. FundedNext's own example: after a $600 day, every future cycle needs $3,000 of profit before you can withdraw, and the request is still capped at $1,200. A cycle runs from your last withdrawal, so profit above the cap stays in the account but does not count toward the next cycle. The help article says both conditions, the buffer and consistency, apply to the current cycle.

The ceiling is $5,400. Five rewards of at most $1,200 is $6,000 requested, and 90% of that is $5,400 to the trader if every cycle hits the cap. Then the account closes. The $169.99 fee is not the binding constraint; the cap and the five-reward limit are.

It has a daily loss limit Flex does not. On the same comparison table, the Flex 50K evaluation has no daily loss limit, a 40% consistency rule in the challenge only, a 95% split and a $1,500 per-cycle cap, but it has a $2,500 profit target and a tighter $1,500 Max Loss Limit. Direct trades the target for a $1,000 daily limit, a permanent 20% consistency rule and a lower cap.

It takes a slot and cannot be reset. Direct counts toward FundedNext Futures' limit of 5 active FundedNext Accounts and 10 new FundedNext Accounts per month, so it will not be issued if you are already at either limit. A breach means buying a new account. The rules also require at least one trade per week to avoid an inactivity breach, and the 3-mini limit does not scale with profit. Contracts above the limit have their profit deducted while losses still count.

Bottom line

FundedNext pitches Direct as a cheaper entry than its standard models, and the end-of-day drawdown and soft daily limit are forgiving. It is built for steady, small, evenly spread days: the perpetual 20% rule punishes one big session for the life of the account, and the $1,200 cap and five-reward limit put a hard ceiling on what one account can pay. If you can pass an evaluation, Flex pays a higher split and a higher cap per cycle.
