KYC

Compliance

KYC is the identity verification process required at payout. Most firms accept a passport or government ID plus proof of address.

KYC — Know Your Customer — is the identity-verification process required by prop firms before payouts can be processed. Typical requirements: government-issued photo ID, proof of address (utility bill or bank statement), and sometimes a brief video verification.

KYC is usually deferred until first payout, which surprises traders who completed only basic email signup at evaluation purchase. Processing time can add days to first-payout delivery. Firms operating in regulated jurisdictions may impose stricter KYC; offshore firms vary widely.
