End of day (EOD) marks the close of the regular trading session and is used as the calculation moment for many prop-firm rules.
End of day (EOD) marks the close of the regular trading session. Many prop-firm rules reference EOD: trailing drawdown calculation, daily loss limit checks (when not real-time), profit accrual snapshots, and risk-system resets.
The exact EOD time depends on the asset class and exchange. Futures session close (4:00 PM Central Time for most CME products), forex day close (5:00 PM Eastern Time historically), and equity market close (4:00 PM Eastern) all differ. Firms operating across asset classes typically use the asset''s native session close.
