Hola Prime Publishes a Single Rulebook and Drops Three Funded-Account Limits
Hola Prime's new Rulebook puts all its Forex rules in one numbered document and removes the 60% per-trade concentration cap, the 70% margin rule and the three-minute stop-loss deadline. Stop-losses are still mandatory, and the 2% Trade Idea cap still applies.

What happened
Hola Prime has published The Rulebook, a single numbered document that now holds its Forex challenge criteria, trading rules, breach conditions, fees, payouts and account requirements. In the announcement (opens in new tab) on 21 October 2026, the firm said it has also removed three restrictions from its Sim. Funded accounts:
- the 60% maximum concentration per trade
- the 70% maximum margin rule
- the three-minute stop-loss deadline
The Rulebook is live at holaprime.com/rulebook (opens in new tab). Every rule has a code, such as TR.1 for the Daily Loss Limit, and Hola Prime says Support, Risk and Compliance will cite those codes in breach notices.
What changed, and what didn't
The headline is three rules gone. Reading the new Trading Rules (opens in new tab) section, the picture is more nuanced.
The stop-loss deadline is gone, but stop-losses are still required. Rule TR.4.5 says a stop-loss is mandatory on every trade. What has changed is the enforcement: the Rulebook treats a floating or realised loss of more than 2% on a trade or Trade Idea without a stop-loss as a hard breach. The fixed three-minute window to attach one no longer appears.
The 70% margin cap is now guidance plus discretion. Section TR.6 gives a table of margin-utilisation levels (30% or less recommended, 70% or more "very high risk") rather than a hard limit. But excessive margin use or overleveraging can still be treated as a prohibited practice under PTP.2.3. Where it is repeated or material, Hola Prime says it may reduce leverage, set margin or exposure limits, adjust profits or apply other restrictions. Accounts in the Prime Consistency Programme must still stay at or below 30% margin at all times.
Per-trade risk is capped by the 2% Trade Idea rule. With the 60% concentration rule removed, the main per-trade limit on funded and Direct accounts is the Risk-Per-Trade-Idea rule (TR.4). Risk at the stop-loss on any single idea can't exceed 2% of the initial balance, or 1% in the Prime Consistency Programme or after a prohibited-practice sanction. Overlapping same-direction positions in one instrument, and re-entries within 10 minutes, all count as one idea. Going over the cap ends the account.
Other limits stay. The Rulebook still lists open-lot caps on 2-Step Pro funded accounts from USD 25,000 upward (for example 40 lots on USD 100,000), a 30-day inactivity rule, and leverage of up to 100:1 on 2-Step Pro and 50:1 on Prime and Direct.
Breach appeals
Hola Prime also pointed traders to its appeal process. Traders who think a breach was applied in error can appeal, and the firm says its Risk Team will give a written explanation of whether the breach is upheld or reversed.
What traders should know
- Scope. The Rulebook says this edition covers the Forex programme. Futures has a separate rulebook.
- Which document wins. Under FND.3, your signed Agreement, the Terms of Service and official notices rank above the Rulebook if they ever conflict.
- Change logs. Hola Prime says the Rulebook will keep change logs so traders can track updates. When we checked on 22 October 2026, we didn't find a dated change-log page yet, so watch for official notices too.
Hola Prime CEO Somesh Kapuria said in the release that traders "should be able to find the conditions that apply to their accounts without having to search across multiple resources."
Hola Prime is listed in the ProprietaryTrading.com directory. If you trade a funded account there, read TR.4 and PTP.2 in full. Those two sections now carry most of the risk rules the removed limits used to cover.
